About Fred Swarr
Fred Swarr, a resident of Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, has been an active exhibiting painter since 1969.
He has produced artwork of many different types which have culminated in a combination of impressionistic and expressionistic styles that he executes with acrylic paint.
His method of staining raw canvas and overpainting primed canvas with a crackle texture has evolved into his present technique.
Fred's inherent interest in unusual still-life subjects has led to his most successful series of paintings "Wine and Other Vices," that are both intriguingly unique and decorative.
Fred's artistic imagination earns him respect and appreciation from both corporate and private collectors. His new work is nothing less than exhilarating, inviting both the existing collector of Swarr Art and new admirers into his world of infinite possibilities.
As a humanitarian, charitable work is an integral part of Fred Swarr the artist. He has made artistic contributions to many non-profit organizations through fund raising events.
