All of the paintings on this page were inspired by multiple photos of the celebrity and listening to the song that was used in the form of sheet music in the background. All paintings were done with Chroma Atelier's Interactive Professional Artist's Acrylic Paints.

Fred at his Mt. Gretna, PA studio

The subject matter of my artwork has changed through the years along with my feelings for significant incidents that occurred in my life. My inherent interest in music and musical instruments was triggered by a broken guitar I found while driving along a back road a few years ago. After throwing it in the back of my car and living with it in my studio for a while, I reconnected with the importance of music and the affect it has on our daily lives.

I played drums and other percussion instruments since I was ten years old and have always had music playing in the background while I was creating art.

Quotes Quotes

Realizing how different styles of music influenced my artwork has helped me make the decision to use it as the subject for my paintings.

I've found that with certain visual art elements and images of musical instruments heard in a song I can create the feeling of a particular style of music or individual song onto a canvas with paint.
